About Us
Villa Italia Bakery began with our father, Joseph Mallozzi, whose passion for craft and tradition shaped everything we are today. After immigrating from Minturno, Italy, he brought with him the recipes, discipline, and artistry he learned in his parents’ pasticceria—a small but beloved bakery at the heart of his hometown.
Settling in Rotterdam, New York, he purchased a modest pizzeria and deli. But he dreamed of sharing more of his Italian heritage with the Capital Region. Little by little, he began introducing the pastries, cookies, and cakes he grew up with—each one rooted in the flavors of home, made by hand, and guided by the values of family, community, and quality.
Those early creations sparked something special. Word spread. The bakery grew. And Villa Italia became known not just for desserts, but for a feeling—warmth, family, tradition, and the unmistakable taste of authentic Italian craftsmanship.
Today, as a third-generation family bakery, we are honored to continue the legacy our father began. Every cookie baked, every coffee poured, every slice of cake served is part of a story that started in a little pasticceria in Minturno and continues in homes across the country.
We are grateful for the friends, family, and loyal customers who have allowed us to share our traditions for nearly 60 years—and we look forward to continuing this journey with you.
